Acero del Cibao is the largest manufacturer of Steel Wire in the Caribbean, and is the lead provider for many businesses in the Caribbean, Central America, and the United States. Our capacity and experience allows us to produce wire “A La Carte”, according to the needs of our clients and/or ASTM standards, covering a wide range of wire diameter, strength, finishing, thermal treatment, coatings, and type of raw material (high, medium, and low carbon), and others.
We have a privileged location in the heart of the Dominican Republic. Three major maritime ports and three international airports within few kilometers of our operation plants allow us to offer competitive fleets, as well as fast deliveries, which helps our clients maintain smaller inventories, and hence lower work capital.

From its beginning, Acero del Cibao has carried out an arduous and constant labor that has shaped and maintained this name amongst the top producers of wire in the Caribbean and Latin America. Acero del Cibao was founded in 1983, in the Cibao region of the Dominican Republic, by a group of executives and production personnel that had been involved with this process for more than 12 years.
It began with the necessity to supply the local market with finished products derived from wire. As time went on, our great technical expertise in the area as well as our policy of competitiveness and continuous improvement opened the door for the challenge of the international market; where we have dedicated our effort and specialty to the manufacturing of Industrial Wires.

Expansion Projects:
In 2002, Acero del Cibao took on a new project, a new production plant for galvanized wire that focuses on wires with special requirements as to their zinc contents (triply galvanized wire).
This new plant, scheduled to start operating at the end of 2004, is designed and will be running according to ISO 9001:2000 quality standards.
With new exportation packing techniques and the best logistics systems implemented, we provide the best available service for our international clients.
With these improvements we endeavor to keep adding to our line of top quality wire products, as well increase production capacity, which will allow us to offer our clients the highest level of service.
